I cater for customers and manage the kitchen with my colleagues, as well as cleaning and keeping the area safe and hygienic.

I've been able to understand knowledge and scenarios of which I can apply to a real world setting. I've also been able to reinforce this knowledge.

It was structured well in regards to me knowing what to do and what the targets/aims of the programme were.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support. They would help me if I wasn't sure of something and would happily support me when arranging interviews and the like.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A lot of support, same as the manager. Would be able to help and rearrange if something were to come up.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It's allowed me to understand and apply knowledge and scenarios. It's helped me understand information and confidently apply it during the workday.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We don't have activities unless we get a bonus or share a drink after work, however we are a relatively smaller team in comparison to some of the other pubs.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marstons?
Take up one of the relevant apprenticeships to broaden your knowledge and to become confident in what you need to do. You'll meet some great people.
