Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a business analyst apprentice, I communicate with the lead business analyst and the project managers in my team to provide change projects. We hold meetings to learn what a project needs to do, and then write these requirements out in a way that can be understood by the business team and the IT team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme a lot. I enjoy the rangeof learning techniques, such as face-toface residential courses, online resources andd one-to-one mentoring and shadowing.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a number of new skills. I have improved by confidence and communication skills, including investigation techniques. I have learnt new data analysis skills. I have learnt how to create scope and requirements documnets and model business processes.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured. The training providers provide organised courses and work deadlines, however they are understanding, supportive and flexibile with the deadlines. College work aligns very well with the work I do on a daily basis.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from many different people. My wider team of project managers, programme managers, engineers and other businesss analysts are always willing to help and are very patient and welcoming of any questions. I have a one-to-one mentor who is very helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is very supportive. I have a learning coach from the provider who I can get very quick responses from for any question I may have. There is a wide range of learning resources and the face-to-face course was extremely engaging and the tutor was very helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel they are very helpful in making me more confident in my abilities and performing my role. I find that the learning material provides an explantion for why we complete the daily tasks and therefore helps me to complete tasks more effectively.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a really supportive group of 'mental health buddies' with weekly calls to participate in conversation. There is a sustainability team and a workplace atmosphere squad, allowing us to feel more involved in our work life. There are also many charity events, such as the recent Christmas Shoe Box appeal.

Very supporitive. My colleagues are kind, understanding an helpful. There is a positive, friendly atmosphere. They are very supportive of learning and devlopment, with dedicated time to personal trainingand growth.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
Be confident in your application. I had no experience in this particular job role however I did a lot of research on what the job role involves and the desired qualities of a business analyst. It is important to research Lloyds Banking Group and understand their values and align to these.
