Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role as People Manager is to manage Human Relations within the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
It was brilliant. The most challenging was during the pandemic, but there was so much support from Manchester Metropolitan University and McDonald’s Apprenticeship team. We really felt valued.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Whilst on the apprenticeship, I gained knowledge on various models that I use within my role. A weakness I originally had was regarding finances - there was a module within my degree focusing on this and finance is no longer an opportunity of mine.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well. We were these details well in advance, when we started the course. The topics were all relevant to my job role (I was an Assistant Manager at the time).
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Greater understanding was needed of the challenges we faced doing the majority of it during our own time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Vast amounts. We were one of the first years to start the Level 6 programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
100%
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We carry out community events, eg. Coaching girls football teams, charity events with other businesses
