I work on my own projects, with assistance from my line manager for scientific experiments. I run experiments on cells I culture and spend the time I am not in the lab planning for my next experiment!
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme. I am learning so much already and really enjoy how much independence I am being given.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills! From more "normal" skills like time management, independent learning and networking. To more job specific lab based skills like cell culturing or how to run different experiments that go on in my team.

A lot of support, they will always be willing to answer any questions I have. I have lots of regular check ins to check up on my progress and to check I am being supported enough.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
Just be yourself in the interview! Have an idea of how your experiences match up to their behaviours and values. Be honest and be confident in your abilities. Applying as an apprentice, no one expects the "finished product"
