Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role was to assist the audit team on client work and helping to prepare the work required. This included travelling to client site and working with the client themselves.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I think this is an excellent programme as this allows for a great balance between university and an apprenticeship. The course also allows for you to complete the majority of what is required to complete the ICAEW requirements to become a chartered accountant.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed my skills for being able to work relationships with my team and clients. I have also developed my time management skills as you have to manage your workload each day and ensure you are prompt for meetings.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It is very well organized as they provide you with all you need for your placement, support and accommodation etc, along with a great structure to you academic requirements that help tie into each placement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There is copious amounts of support throughout from the employer. For example on placement you have a career coach a flying start champion and a buddy who are all there to answer questions that you may have or support with the work that you are doing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
During the university side of the course there is also a lot of support, you are able to contact the lecturers at any point. Also you have a buddy that provides you support for the studying towards the qualifications
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think doing the placement whilst learning at university is a great way to help better your understanding of what it is that you are studying. It helps reinforce your knowledge from you studies and also allows you to take what you have learnt back with you.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is a large social side to work, there are always events for specific teams to attend to. For example a Central social, Christmas party and also a football event.
