Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day role includes looking after customers and guests, answering phone calls, emails and preparing for guests stay, we also like to know as much about our guests as we can so this involves everyone attending a morning meeting to gain as much information as possible.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying the programme so far, however I do sometimes find it overwhelming trying to complete tasks and stay on top of my work set for the month while also working 45/50 hours each week in a physically and mentally demanding job.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to manage my time and to stay organised. We can need to juggle serval tasks at a time which has helped to improve my memory and focus. I have definitely learnt a lot so far from my apprenticeship which has helped me in my job role. for example I am able to read my colleagues better and understand better management skills and better communication to a higher level.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well organised as PowerPoints are always well prepared and tasks are always set on time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel I do not receive the support I need to be able to juggle work and studying efficiently. this is due to how busy we are as a team and that we are also under staffed. this means I do not get the time to be able to do anything towards my apprenticeship while at work and have to catch up in my own time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I feel I have received a lot of support from my trainer. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is always keen to help us with anything we have outstanding and anything we may be struggling with during the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I do feel it is helping me be better and more confident within my job role. I have started to learn different styles of management ect which is helping to extend my knowledge within my role.

Why?
I would reccomend this company to a friend as I feel the teaching and experience so far has been as good as possible, especially as we have been doing remote learning over zoom.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Homegrown Hotels?
that you need to have the time to commit yourself fully to the apprenticeship in order to gain the most from the course.
