Interactive sessions on various areas of law and tasks which included contextualising laws to help understand them better. It included group tasks, presentations and individual tasks too. There were many opportunities to ask questions and insight was given into the journey to becoming a solicitor.

It was an enjoyable experience with a good amount of interactivity.
How well organised was your work experience?

Everything was on time. The itinerary was solid and reiterated to remind us what was next at certain points, the presentations were well thought out and each speaker understood their role.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

I am already quite set on my career path but it definitely helped me confirm I have chosen the right one.

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

I learnt about certain practice areas more in depth and understood the day to day tasks a trainee would carry out as well as the challenges they may face. I developed team working skills and understood multiple perspectives in group tasks.

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

A good amount in various sessions, mainly about how it is a purpose-led firm and what that actually entails in practice. Everyone seemed friendly and some even offered to help after the session is complete, so I could see myself fitting in.
