Work Experience Review

Work experience involved attending various online seminar-style lectures as well as interactive tasks related to the legal profession and smaller group discussions with trainee solicitors with the firm who gave advice and related their personal experiences as trainees. Programme provided a wide variety of details from CV and Personal Statement tips to the road to becoming a lawyer at a large firm.

I quite enjoyed this work experience as it provided a variety of interactive events that broke the monotony of listening to lectures, and even then every different session I found quite intersting as I learnt new things about the field of law as a whole and how i might better pursue becoming a lawyer

My work experience was very well organised with no lectures starting late with in reason, and nothing running over the allocated time. The tasks were all well scheduled and adequate times for breaks and rests were also provided, as well as the scheme itself definitely striking a good balance of the amount of time spent on work and learning.

I honestly found this work experience to be very helpful in deciding what career path I will fellow as it helped assuage my doubts on following a career in law and gave me much needed context on the career path, as well as helping me decide on my university degree.

Company culture was a frequent topic of this work experience, with Pinsents Masons being described as a 'purpose led firm' and seemingly measuring up to these claims, with all the Pinsent Masons employees and trainess who spoke to us being enthusiastic and speaking about how P & M is a quality firm that values their employees health and wellbeing

It seems like a genuine and professional law firm, that has been very friendly and welcoming to me throughout this work experience, and specifically their trainee employees were highly welcoming.
