Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Learning all aspects of the footwear production process and assisting the production team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed working alongside the production teams and learning from the people that do the jobs daily. I also enjoyed learning about patterns/pattern creation but wasn't given much of an opportunity to do this.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It was organised in the sense that the production team ensured I was given opportunities to learn - but I didn't feel that I was given opportunity in terms of classroom and theory work. A lot of my classroom days were cancelled. And a lot of my production experience was repetitive.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I received a lot of support from the production supervisors/factory operatives. Not so much support from the apprentice course leader.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Not as much support as I had hoped.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel like I learnt enough to enable me to progress a career within product development.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Yes - there were at the time.
