Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job role as a data analyst apprentice within the bank is to manage data reports and support my line manager with any data reports. My main responsibilities include, pulling, extracting, cleansing and transforming relevant and up-do-date data into meaningful and accurate information for not just only my department but also for lead managers (capability consultant managers) and stakeholders to utilise the reports into making better and important decision making within the organisation and to customers.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoy the Programme, as i have been able to learn, grow and gain valuable experience that i could not have gotten anywhere else. The opportunities that NatWest provides for apprentices and graduates has really made me grow as an individual and have been able to built my confidence and network overall,

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since joining the bank, I have learnt various skills such as strengthening my knowledge and experience of the CPCs which is highly important to know at NatWest. The CPCs has improved the way I respond, think and approach a situation and tasks that I do, which I didn't know know how to do previously before joining the bank.

I receive a great amount of support, especially when I am stuck on a certain project or if I do not understand something I don't feel embarrassed, instead I feel much better and feel no hesitation to keep asking more questions, which has built my confidence a lot better than what is was before joining NatWest.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

i receive a fair amount of support, especially whenever I am struggling within understanding the assignment, my training provider helps me understand the scope of the project much better and to a higher standard too.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my qualification will help me improve the functionality of some of the current processes within the department I work in which will overall better the workload and help create a better and more efficient way of working.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, since joining the bank I have participated within a various of activities such as participating in the National Careers Week (video which [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] had posted on her Linkedin), signed up to the CPC Partnership Scheme (where I have a chance to improve my CPCs at work through my mentor and mentee provided within the scheme), became a member of the Sikh community and to in future patriciate and volunteer in some activates.

Comparing who I was 8 months ago when i had joined the bank till now i have seen myself grow significantly, my confidence has become to a greater standard and that I feel completely valued at NatWest.
