very well structured and organised the course programme is well set out and has all the resources needed to help complete the programme sometimes the courses time limits can be quite demanding but the help is there when needed and extensions can be given to help with these demands x
How much support do you receive from your employer?

not enough as the role is very demanding and due to the staffing crisis throughout the health and social care sector this does not help as time is limited when trying to juggle work home life a course and a disability it becomes very stressful at times and support is stretched

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

we have a wide range of knowledge on our training system for all employees to access but unfortunately we do not have the time to do most of these unless this is a direct activity done with the people we support we do highly support the LGBQT and we do a lot around mental well being

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Choice Support to a friend?
No
Why?
As an employee myself i am well aware of the demands and stresses of having a work life balance but this is not always the case i have given up way more than i should as we look after real people and sometimes they with not fault of their own become priority of our lives and this takes over
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Choice Support?
Be open and honest when at interview please do not commit to anything you are not comfortable with just to get the job and if you need the support ask for it also please do not rush into anything think things through this is a very demanding role and committing to it can be rewarding but there is also a flip side
