Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
On a day to day basis I work with the digital team publishing and reporting on content that goes on our website, liasing with stakeholders. I also work with the campaigns team promoting our Investing smarter website to high risk audience members and reporting on our other campaign ScamSmart.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy my programme quite a bit, I believe that there is quite a bit if support to the work I carry out, but I believe that I should have been taught some work nearer the time of completing it, rather than being show how to manage the CMS at the beginning and not using it till many months later.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Since I have started I have developed skills on managing Web content and editing content for the site. I have developed skills on managing relationships with internal stakeholders as the content comes to the site from their department. I have developed skills on digital as work on word to improve documents.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I believe the programme is structured okay, and that the time given to complete my work is alright and that i should commit to more apprenticeship hours during the working week to avoid working in the evening of the week, as I am not paid enough to do that despite the premise that I am paid to learn. I currently do one afternoon a week when I believe I should be doing a day a week
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I received quite good support from my manager as I can pop up to her and ask for assistance on any task and she will help me. The tasks are not always designed for her to help me and the others in my team are normally good at supporting me if my workload is too much.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I receive a monthly session on the with the training provider, as they support me on tasks I should complete in a monthly basis. If I need help with anything he is really good at getting back to me with support, and the training courses have been really sufficient on providing me with knowledge on coding and marketing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I do feel that more of the training could be more highlighted to the role, such as more digital or website management as a lot of my role is digital focused and not so much campaigns or marketing focused. However I do split my time between campaigns and digital a lot too.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, there is many events that I just need to keep tabs on, especially from the newsletter of sports and leisure. I would also reinforce the need to ensure that I check the events page of any networking events that come up. However, the CEO challenge was definitely a great example of networking to understand the business better.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would as I believe that the programmes thar are on offer are really good and they delve a lot into the subject matter of the job you are in. The more social the environment the better of a workplace it could be, in terms of more social fun nights on a monthly basis to bring in that relaxed feel to the workplace.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)?
I would offer the advice ensuring that they would definitely want to be involved with regulatory work as it can be tedious at times, however it can be rewarding knowing that so much of work helps to protect consumers. So I would ensure that you are passionate about helping others and can communicate well
