Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role consists of supporting the team and department on projects that are happening. This includes everything from planning the project to executing the project. On a day-to-day basis I will often liaise with team members to check progress whilst creating project plans and supporting others.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my programme and like how I am heavily involved in most things we do.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills as well as developing existing skills. I have learnt how to engage and communicate with key stakeholders, public speaking, facilitate meetings. I have further developed my Excel skills and planning skills which includes being able to effectively communicate with colleagues.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well structured. I am able to work 4 days a week at the FCA and then take a study day to complete my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer provides me with a lot of support, I have weekly meetings with my line manager where we discuss what I have been up to, how I am coping and what the future plans are. I also have quarterly reviews with the HoD.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have a meeting with my guide from Bpp every 6 weeks bur I am able to reach out at any time if I have any questions or want to check anything. I have made use of this by sending her work for her to check and provide feedback.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has enabled me to understand the knowledge and reasoning behind particular skills which has allowed me to implement the skills into my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We recently did something called the CEO challenge which was a 6 month programme consisting of grads and apprentices where we create and launch a project. There are also sports teams and social activities on a regular basis.
