I work in the External Supply and Manufacturing function who are responsible for the supply chains from AZs external partners. I establish new distribution lanes from suppliers and ensure they ship in accordance to AZ standard.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my programme. The course is very relevant to my job role and I have great support from my colleagues.

I have learnt skills in people management, developing collaborative relationships, managing conflict, decision making, leading people and communication.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The university programme is very well structured with days monthly which is supported by AZ.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive great support from my manager and colleagues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive excellent support from Nottingham trent through the recall days, private mentor sessions and drop in sessions. I am very impressed with their support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My course has pushed me to take on extra responsibilities within the team, helped me to effectively lead better and improved my interactions with colleagues. I have progressed much quicker within my career through having the degree course.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are some extra curricular activities but no sports clubs as far as I am aware.

Would you recommend AstraZeneca to a friend?
Yes
Why?
AstraZeneca look after their employees and see value in apprentices. My progression as a young adult is much further than in comparison to my friends who haven't done apprenticeships or worked for AZ. It is an excellent opportunity.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
I would suggest to understand AstraZeneca's values well and embed them in to your behaviours. The culture at AZ is important to all employees and something that is looked for in all apprentice candidates.
