Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I manage business account customers needs on a daily basis and help them to grow their businesses. I have a portfolio of over 75 customers who I meet regularly to understand how I can support and help them. Sometimes they have simple daily queries but sometimes they have more complex issues or need support.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the programme as I feel like I am learning and developing after every piece of work. That includes new skills and my English and grammar skills. I am also learning more about myself in the process and reading up on interesting topics as part of my coursework.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes I have definitely learnt new skills already in the apprenticeship such as understanding how to set up and begin a coaching session as well as contracting and establishing a trust based relationship with my coachee. My personal development has also improved as I have learnt more about myself and my values.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The actual content with the provider is really well structured. There are timescales to do your assignments within so the work is spread out and at a good pace. The work is in clustered segments so you investigate a topic and then move onto the next one. The trainer check ins are really helpful.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
I receive time to undertake the workshops during the working day and my tutor catch ups but I do not receive the 20% time promised as part of the programme. I keep being told to 'make the time' but have the same workload. It means work is completed in my own time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support from Babington is really good and my tutor is available to mark work and provide feedback when needed. The news articles are helpful and give other perspectives on work. The workshops are interesting and encourage you to think differently which helps with the coursework and to make connections with the group.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I hope to be able to use my qualification to have better conversations with my customers and help them to grow and expand their businesses.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, I am part of a coaching circles network which compliments my apprenticeship.
