My role within the company is a Business Analysis working in the treasury department. I ensure that the requirements of a project is met and any underlying objectives are relayed to the rest of the team and stakeholders.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program a lot as the company treats me extremely well. If I feel ill, my manager always ensures I get better. She gives me honest feedback and ensures I am kept busy. Work load is really high however, something you have to get used to.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I learned many new skills within this role. Communication being the main one as the role I am currently in, this skill is extremely important. I have to adapt my words based on who the stakeholder is, to ensure they understand current status of the work.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My organisation and provider is organised to an extent. Only thing I would say is that a lot of times the team misses out certain details, such as providing me with dates for meetings, work classes etc.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. In personal (ill, holidays etc) and in terms of professional work. Allows me to move around, ensures I have the right resources etc. The ability to work from home and have my own free will.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I recieve some support from them. I understand I have 8 hours a week to study and ask questions, however unfortunately some dates where they hold meetings are during my work hours and I am unable to attend. I believe the tutors should be more available.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training provider does well in keeping me in the loop in terms of technical based work. As I am in a business analysis role, I may tend to forget some IT tools and software. Doing the work with my University helps me remember.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At work, we have the ability to take 3 days off to do charity work, fully paid for. They allow you to find your own charity or do the ones as provided by the company.

Why?
You are treated like and adult and NatWest lets you work to the best of your comfort. They are extremely diverse accepting of all people. They allow you the opportunity to move around if you want to explore other roles. Greta place to start a career.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Do not be complacent. This is a great opportunity but requires a lot of hard work. NatWest work load is complicated and is quite a heavy load, therefore you must be able to balance completing a degree and building your career simultaneously.
