Picking up tickets and coding changes to our application used by clients to give them a better experience using the application as well as creating additional features requested by them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme from the support received as well as the people that I come across who have an abundance of knowledge they are always willing to share. The time we receive to balance working and university is also well managed.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt countless numbers of skills, from general social skills by meeting new people and forming new relationships to more critical skills such as learning to code from never having coded before. The learning itself never ends which is exactly what keeps you progressing.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is clearly structured so that we know what we're expecting every step of the way. Work continues to progress in whichever direction we will, and university learning revolves around a syllabus for us to have a clear overview for what's to come.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There's no limit to the amount of support received, you'll never come across someone who is unwilling to help or give you advice for what you ask for. The respect you're treated with also is something that makes you feel comfortable in the working environment.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have weekly lectures or support sessions for the university modules we are doing. We can also sign up for additional support sessions if we want extra help or advice on how to do certain things.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification allows me to grasp a more holistic view of the digital world and environment that I'm working in as it is not limited to one specific area or topic that we learn about. This allows me to transfer knowledge from work and university to thrive in both.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are numerous working networks in my company which we can join freely. There are also social gatherings and activities we can get involved in as well as volunteering sessions which occur quarterly.

From the learning to the support and experience, everything helps you thrive in not only your career but also develops you as a person bringing out confidence and the ability to tackle problems that you wouldn't experience outside of a working environment.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Be yourself and be open to new things. NatWest is very inclusive to all which makes it easy for you to be yourself and still be accepted without needing to change your character. Being open to new things will also allow you to explore avenues you might not know you're interested in - just be willing to try and put effort in.
