Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As an intern, I was facilitating the tasks of my manager and simultaneously learning about financial markets.
I developed tools that helped the traders in one of my rotations, as well. Alongside this, I presented a trade idea to the traders as well.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
As an intern, I was mostly facilitating others but I really enjoyed giving the trade idea pitch and also my presentation on a new project in on of my presentation.

I was in touch with my managers and my buddy during the internship, who all provided me required support. Also, I made good friends within my intern class

Barclays has a culture of innovation and everybody was discussed new ideas alongside providing advice to newcomers like me to have successful career
Due to covid, the internship was virtual so my exposure to atmosphere in restricted but I enjoyed all the events that were held during the internship.
