5/5

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have really enjoyed the programme it has opened my mind to new skill and techniques, which i am now deploying to help me to grow in my role and become a better leader. I've learnt a lot of about coaching and mentoring approaches which i now use regularly. The course is challenge at times when we balance busy periods at work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a lot of skills during the level 5 apprenticeship. In particular self awareness and the impact it can have in the workplace and how my behaviours can impact my team and morale. I have a much better understanding of feedback and the importance it plays in developing teams.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The course is well structured overall it could do with some improvements. Better sign posting of relevant content. It would be good in some situations understanding what the minimal requirement is? The course could do with more flexibility built in to allow for every day challenges which can occur and attempt to derail progress during the course.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a great deal of support from my employer to achieve the best possible results. We are given the time required to complete the course. There can be work related deadlines for example submission to regulatory authorities which do not have any flexibility in timelines where there are priority challenges which can impact course progress however overall these challenges have been navigated and managed through the course.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The support provided from the training provider has been important. Coaches steer and guide us as necessary. I would like a little bit more sign posting where possible around how to approach things and material. Overall i feel the support from the coach is a key part of the course. Coach offer suggestions where possible which are very important.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The learning covered during the course has helped me to grow considerably as a person and also a leader. I have a greater understanding self awareness and the impact it can have on teams. I am able to deploy coaching and mentoring to help develop teams. I am utilising many techniques like time boxing. Radical candor and also encouraging my team to use tools.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are lots of different activities you can get involved in outside of work. From volunteering to help outside of work. To planting trees. To fitness.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend AstraZeneca to a friend?
Yes
Why?
This is a company with a very positive outlook and invests in staff to grow and develop beyond on the job training. It is a company that cares about you individual goals as well as company goals. The company offers shadowing and mentoring which has personally helped me to grow as a person.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
If you are applying for a role then you should look at the company values and assess if they align with your personal values. Your first role or step doesn't have to be your career course for the rest of your like so take a risk and be curious in your role choice the opportunity to change role, function and team is accessible in a company of this size.
