Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

day to day I check networks and evaluate networks as well as reconfiguring network cables, I talk with some colleagues as well as problem solving and helping each other. I go through all different software's to make sure they are still working well and its to its capability before I go through it to do all the work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme to an extent as it covers a lot of bases in college as well as in house in the SSE building with all different sources of people from different feeding lots of knowledge from all their fields and what they say and in take as well

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed more skills as to work in different soft wares such as power point and picking up new skills in certain. learning new skills in all different soft wares that I am introduced to as well as making sure i can work myself through it and be confident in it

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think at the start of my programme it was a bit hectic as it was so much and we weren't really settled as we went to college and back consistently so therefore in work it wasn't constant as the managers and everyone were extremely busy and had a lot to do.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive more than enough support from my employer as every person is assigned to their own individual buddy who can help and go through and help if needed as well as being able to go through to the colleagues and is encouraged to try and help from their perspective
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive fairly enough support from my training provider as everyone o n the course some way supports each other and everyone helps and the teachers and trainers are always helpful and always willing to help and go through anything if there are any questions as well as it having a library where books are always relevant to the course
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

in a certain way it does but at the same it possibly doesn't, as most qualifications and jobs not all the modules and every single topic does not align with what it is you do at work but at the same time other modules directly link into what your doing at work and some of the work you need to carry out.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

To my knowledge at the moment there are not any extra curricular activities to get involved into to but there are certain networking events within the office such as Christmas parties and others that we have been involved but in terms of others and sports teams there are not which is unfortunate.

Would you recommend SSE to a friend?

Why?
I think SSE is a great company as there are so many good benefits they are really good at bringing you into the the office introducing you and settling in. I think its a company that you would be able to stay at for years as they make you feel comfortable.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SSE?
be confident throughout your interview as well but as well as being relaxed as this is a serious company that want to do their job very well. but everyone is friendly and are happy to help and get each other. as well as making yourself stand out in your own way not following the way anyone does anything but your way.
