Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As I am an apprentice I go to my supervisor to recieve my tasks. I then carry them out based on the preffered order. I also keep on top of my SVQ work by carrying out work on my logbooks to cross of my references and my five sets of KQ.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the programme as it gives you a broad experience on what happens around the business and what sort of jobs there are to offer. I also like the fact i am gaining a qualification at the end of it, so on paper i would be a lot better off.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned a number of new skills by working with different people and taking good points from all. I have worked on programmes i had never seen before and products as well. I have also improved the skills i already had, such as my communication and confidence in my work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Generally my programme has been well structured with frequent meetings with the apprentice management team with every rotation. I also have regular meetings with my SVQ assessor to make sure i stay on top of my work and that i am on track. Just waiting on the final placement now.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel like i receive all the support i need from my employer. Whenever i have an issue the apprentice team always let you know that they are there to help and they remind you of that most times you see them. The assessors help with the SVQ work also.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I feel like the training provider give us suitable support as they put us throygh the college for us to gain the qualifications. They also keep in touch and up to date by making sure that after every so often, usually after i have my progress review they email me so i can let them know it has happened.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
So far ive not noticed too much that has helped me personally yet. However i am sure that as i progress in the workplace i may use the things i have learned. I know that for others they will be using the things they learned hands on but for me not so much.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There is many activities at the work that get advertsied. I know that there is a wednesday lunchtime football that they look for players in. I know there is a yoga class that can be joined online. I attended on of the apprentice football events which was really fun also.
