Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I take one new claim everyday and aim to settle the claim as soon as possible, insuring best customer service. I calculate costs and look into estimates/invoices, making sure the customer is indemnified accordingly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, both the learning and practical side. However, the working side of the programme can be very stressful and sometimes overwhelming.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have improved my customer service and time management skills. The role carries a lot of stress but I am learning to deal with the pressure in a positive way and complete all tasks to the best of my ability.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well organised, however there is sometimes confusion which what tasks we are to complete and what is actually relevant to our course.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
We receive a lot of support from our mentor and occasional support from our manager as he is very busy. Our Babington mentor replies to emails promptly and assists us in our sessions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We get a lot of support from our training provider. Sometimes the sessions can be very brief compared to the information we are expected to learn, but if we have any questions they are always answered.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I do feel my qualification is helping me in my role, learning about policies and insurance markets is helping me with day to day tasks as my general knowledge is much broader now that I am completing these qualifications.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There is a popular networking site used within DLG and this can be used to contact other employees with similar interests and you can even arrange events with them.
