Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I process returns inside of the customer services team. I also manage other aspects of customer services such as the CSMailbox, Courier invoice processing, and Weekly collections of returned goods from the office.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I believe the content is useful for applying to some 'real life' aspects of business operations and the professional workplace. However, there are cross over's with the work in the course if you have previously studied Business GCSE/A' level.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Accuracy, Prioritisation, Time management, Social Skills, Administrative Professionalism, Office Etiquette

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The fuse work is easy to follow as well as the quarterly modules. However, some in person events/ workshops we could have had more of a heads up on at times.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel very supported in my job role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I feel like we receive enough support from our development coach, our workshops are fun and interactive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I think the apprenticeship does ask for real life scenarios which can be taken from our every-day experience in our roles. I would say that in business admin, some of the skills we learn are applicable to the role in terms of administration techniques.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many different groups you can join to share interests with people; there are also events inside and outside of work to engage with. Therefore, we have plenty of variety inside of our jobs to share common interests outside of work.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Softcat to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a very busy and enthusiastic place of work, particularly for a young aspiring individual looking to start a career in an office environment. Softcat has a very unique culture where people are motivated as they work in a very 'fun' atmosphere as offices go!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
I would recommend to soak up the culture and speak to as many people as they can. I think Softcat provides a great opportunity to start a successful career with great employer - in terms of employee perks and general day-to-day job satisfaction.
