Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day, I'm responsible for getting good quality data to our clients, ensuring the smooth running of the lab and data processing. I interact with clients internally and externally on scientific projects and in training new graduates.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying the apprenticeship programme. I have good support and the study topics are enjoyable and relevant to my job role. The level is high, but it's what I expected for a Masters programme. I'm enjoying the challenge.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I'm constantly learning on the job and through the apprenticeship studies, whether it's scientific information or soft skills. I have opportunities to present, attend journal clubs and training others.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I find Moodle easy to use and navigate for finding the study information each week. The number of tasks and reading per week can vary, so sometimes it can take longer to go through the information than expected. The on-line library resources are excellent and invaluable while studying.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Excellent employer support from manager especially.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

So far, I have found the support good. Emails I have sent to tutors and advisors have been answered promptly and with the relevant information.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The theory I am learning will be invaluable to my role. Day to day, the apprenticeship is helping me to become more organised and increased my time management skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a Community Involvement Team at work that organises social events and volunteering opportunities. These are usually well attended and a chance to talk to colleagues.
