Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My daily tasks differ each day, and that's one of the things that I really like about this programme. You go around the business on different rotations to get an understanding of that department and/or function and learn. Sometimes you will have to do a presentation to showcase what you have learnt, but this is all good practice to improve your skills moving forward. You interact with the different departments via the rotations as well as project you may help out with. You have regular communication with your mentor, coach and buddy who are there to help you development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I am really enjoying this programme, no two days are the same! I feel like I am constantly learning so much and have such supportive colleagues who want me to succeed. Everyone is willing to give up their time to help with any query you may have no matter where they are in the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt and developed my communication skills by being able to use tactics to work on establishing a stronger rapport to being able, as well as ensuring my slides and delivery of them are much more streamlined when presenting to key stakeholders within the business on this associate programme.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
This associate programme is well structured and began with a solid induction and basic training. After this, we went into rotations around the business which are for the most part planned ahead of time in our calendars. I have regular communication with my mentor, coach, and buddy to support my development.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my mentor, coach and buddy who get me involved in projects outside the remit of what is expected of this programme. I also have support from the apprenticeship side of this programme to guide me throughout the projects and tasks in this Level 3 programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive support from my learning mentor to guide me through the different projects in this apprenticeship as well as any help I may need, even when it comes down to help with accessibility from my dyslexia. I feel that I can always ask for help whenever I need it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The learning from the apprenticeship helps to solidify my understanding of the company better which is necessary to succeed when working with different departments. Moreover, the technical IT sales training sets you up for good practice in terms of relationship building and the technical knowledge of the products and services.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, you can get involved in extra-curricular activities from charities to networking. I recently got involved with the FreshMinds team to help drive networking amongst the grads and young starters in the form of networking events and charity events. There are a lot of charity activities to get involved with too.
