Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
The day to day running of the pub, providing breaks, dealinng with complaints, as well as the ordering in of stock as well as the assignment of rotas to certain staff members. Launching investigations into grievances and complaints as well as organising team meetings to assess staff morale and what areas can be improved
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoyed working with my teacher who was always there for me to talk to as well as being friendly and easygoing in terms of teaching me the process of the programme. It was also nice to bond with fellow employees who were also taking the course as it become very friendly throughout.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
How to organise and develop my own skills better e.g. trying to allocate the time to listen to employees and have a fluid conversation with them about just how they feel and if they have any issues, as well as talking to managers about said collected information and seeing where we can go from there.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It was a very simple process of assigning myself certain tasks to complete by a certain due date and then once the desired task had been completed I would get the appropriate feedback on how I was doing as well as what areas could be I proved upon, there was also some defiance practical sessions within the pub I work in.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My managers were always there to respond to my teacher about any necessary questions or queries they had about the programme, including talking to the teachers directly about how I was doing and how the certain tasks that I complete at work will impact the work I do for the course in a good way.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training reviver was constantly available and ready to tali to me a t pretty much any given point that I was needing help, I cannot recommend her assistance high enough. She allowed me not only to be independent in the work but also let me work alongside others in the process.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification is very good now for my given job role as it allows myself to be given a newfound confidence in the area of my job roles that we looked though e.g. I was allowed to be seen as somebody who was good witu dealing with complaints because I have been awarded on such things.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Our place of work ways trys to assign funeral vents for staff to participate in, with some great examples including the charity walk up Snowden that took place in 2019 as well as the more recent and much more regular Monday night darts club for kitchen staff, which has been very fun.
