To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

I really enjoyed the variety in workshops/events, as well as how interactive the experience was. I found the entryways into law session particularly helpful.

Extremely organised, the platform Forage made everything very easy to follow, and every day felt structured and well thought out.

The experience was really helpful and helped to alleviate any nerves I had about my next steps, and the pathways into law. I also got some really valuable insight into the everyday responsibilities of people in the legal profession, which has reassured my career goals and aspirations.

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

CV and interview advice, as well as workshops which aided our skills in debate, and structuring an argument. We were also taught about statutory interpretation and drafting, as well as contracts.
Company Culture
How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I learned lots about how the company operates, including various groups and teams. I was also very impressed with the steps Pinsent Masons is taking to support minority groups and create an inclusive environment.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

There was a networking session, specially allocated for getting to know fellow students on the placement, and there were also opportunities throughout the various sessions to communicate with fellow students and current employees of Pinsent Masons and partners.
