Please give an overview of what your virtual experience involved:

Completion of a number of sessions with the opportunity to ask questions along the way. Interactive sessions with the use of breakout rooms to allow smaller group discussions. Task including legal task and contract law task with a deadline for completion. A slogan competition with a chance to win a prize.
To what extent did you enjoy your virtual experience?

It was a really enjoyable experience however I feel like it would have been more interesting to have included more task in an attempt to break up the session. It felt like people speaking at us for a lot of the time and I feel like task could have kept everyone a bit more engaged as i personally am a hands on learner.
How well organised was your virtual experience?

In some places organisation could have been better. On the first day I had two meet your supervisor sessions at the same time meaning I was late as I had to wait for this issue to be solved and additionally there was a few issues where people couldn't see PowerPoints which often made understanding the topics a bit more difficult
How much did your virtual experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

I feel like it highlighted some areas of law that I didn't find particularly interesting such as environment and contract law steering me more in the direction of something hands on such as criminal law. It made me realise that I need to research different areas of law to see what I'm into.

What training and skills development did you learn from your virtual experience?

Teamwork and confidence was a huge skill that I enhanced through the use of breakout rooms as it was scary to provide my ideas and contribution to people I don't know. Debate skills as we had to debate whether a jaffa cake was a cake of biscuit in a debate
Company Culture
How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I spoke to a range of people who work there and therefore feel like I personally learnt a lot about the atmosphere there and what it would be like to work there, I also took time to look at the website when I was coming up with my slogan to try and inspire me and believe that was useful as well.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

we had opportunities to ask questions of other people who work in different sectors in different areas. We had a lunch with a networking opportunity however not many people joined. I feel like a session explaining networking, how it works, the benefits of it would have been very informative and would have helped

Some people may also use the sessions for the same reasons as me and it may help people realise they are interested in the areas of law we covered. They may find it more helpful in guiding them in the direction they wish to go in. It's a good opportunity to meet new people
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons LLP?
Definitely do the research about the course what it includes and what other people have done in the past. Make the most of everything that's thrown your way. Have questions planned for each session before the session starts to get the most out of it, this is something i wish i had done.
