Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I manage a team of people on a daily basis providing quality customer service every time. I will sort out inventory counts and ordering as well as helping with scheduling issues and operational needs. I help the restaurant to maintain 100% accurate food safety records and perform the necessary checks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the programme as the platforms that Lifetime uses are easy to use and navigate. The programme is also helping me to seek out information from where I usually wouldn’t have looked and helping me to ask the right questions. As I’m going through the modules I am becoming proud and more confident that this is something I can achieve.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
While completing my apprenticeship I have learnt how to make each individual customer experience better depending on their own personal wants and needs. I have also grown in confidence as I feel I am building more knowledge around my role and gaining better communication skills that I can put in to practice daily.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is extremely well structured and clear instructions are set out to me each month. I am given bite sized chunks of learning that I can complete at my own pace, and my coach is always there for support if I need it which always fills me with confidence
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Not only do I receive support with in my current restaurant from my business manager, I can also receive support from my training manager who is not based in my restaurant. This means that I can always find the help and support that I need at any time which is a great thing
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My trainer is in contact with me a couple of times a week, she is frequently giving me feedback and helping me with ways that I can improve. I feel supported throughout my journey and I know that If I were to have any concerns or worries then I would get the support I need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
When my apprenticeship comes to an end and even throughout I can apply the skills I am learning/learnt every day i my job role. It is very specific to my role and will help me gain knowledge and confidence and help me perform better in my role and hopefully In the future towards a promotion
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
At McDonalds there are certainly lots of things to get involved in. There is a football cup that goes on every year. We often do love where you live litter picks around the local community. We also have annual ‘fun days’ that usually consist of sports day or music festivals or day trips away.
