Managing the overall results of a McDonald’s restaurant. Managing people, customers experience and profitability.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is challenging, but extremely beneficial - especially in my role. It allows me to research academic theory whilst also researching in depth the businesses results, policies and strategy.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt to take a more holistic approach to business strategy and to be more objective in my approach to my role

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured and allows for individuals to learn around their work. Some people may have weeks with a bigger workload so allows for a agile approach.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer gives me the support that I need in the form of a workplace mentor
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The university has many support mechanisms within the course, from academic tutors to librarians. The lecturers are also very approachable and understanding of work/study balance allowing for flexibility.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the qualification directly links to my role, where all modules have allowed for me to have a deeper insight into the companies performance and strategy. From sustainability, to marketing, the course allows for theory to link in with the business and my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a few, but due to covid these aren’t as possible now.
