Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am an environments analyst and I am part of a team that looks after a test environment with a number of test machines. This involves doing different types of maintenance on these machines such as doing compliance reports, updating software and deploying packages. I also help in prepping machines before handing to another team to do testing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying my programme so far. It has been such an amazing experience and has taught me so much already. Coming out of high school this is just what I was looking for.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

So far in my apprenticeship I have both learned and developed existing skills. I have meant many IT skills that I did not know before I started. My apprenticeship has also been really integral in helping me develop my teamwork and communication skills. These skills are really important when working in a team and my team helps me continue to develop these skills so I can be the best team member I can possibly be.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is really well structured. I am doing modules that go towards my qualification with QA and I am also taking part in two week classroom that give me enough points that add up to my qualification.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The help I get from my employer has been great. I have developed a really good relationship with my manager therefore I am never stuck and he makes sure that if I need any support with anyone I will get it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Training provider support has been good also. Whenever I am stuck on a question I can just fire an email through to them and they will help me with it. They never leave me in the dark and if I have any problems they will help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification massively helps in my role has it develops my skills and widens my knowledge on the work I do day to day. It helps me learn and develop faster which has made me more comfortable in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of opportunities to get involved in out of work activities. There are a lot of social activities for apprenticeships that happen at my work, such as meetups and networking events. There are also 5 aside football teams that you can get involved in.

They have been absolutely first class with me. Not a single complaint from me they have welcomed me and treated me so well
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Just stick in, my recruitment process was really tough and long. Just be resilient, persevere and believe in yourself :)
