My role was to carry out detailed audit work and work effectively on a big team. I would complete samples and verify the accuracy and existence to ensure the client is completing the financial statements correctly. I would communicate daily with the client and take on roles of prioritising tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoyed my time I have been on placement. My highlight was coming into the office and creating a good network of people to work with in the office. I loved the culture surrounding the company and how much I have learnt with auditing and accounting. Overall, lovely experience!

4/5
The structure of my programme is very well thought out as it integrates uni experiences with the working world. I am able to study with my friends and then do some industry based work by working with qualified accountants. There are training days included too where we are able to learn sound technical knowledge

We get regularly check ins with these various groups so we are updated about the firm and various other important information
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
As stated above, I receive lots of support. For towards my qualification I have weekly lectures and seminars to work towards my exams which count towards my ICAEW qualification. In addition to this, we have revision sessions which are very useful, adding onto this I have experience form working with PWC
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I am able to integrate and utilise skills across both sides, on a university side and working side. It has definitely helped me to better perform in the client work that I have done. It has also helped me grow on a personal level and create relationships with different people.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
