Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Intern/Trainee, performing testing relating to various areas in a company's financial statements, to obtain sufficient and appropriate audit evidence that what the client is stating is true and fair.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I love my programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
my time keeping and task prioritization has significantly improved as I have had to track and monitor over 20 different tasks at once.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is structured around exams. There is a significant time pressure to get all the teaching content done before starting work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
There are lots of ways I can get support day-to-day. I have a Buddy, a flying start champion, a career coach and team members/people managers.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive a easter revision guide for each of my modules detailing good starter questions and content to start refreshing my brain on key areas before full revision starts in the summer term.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My modules are tailored to accounting therefore there is a lot of overlap between the theory content I study at university and the practical work I do.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
I have had the opportunity to get connected with people in other areas at PwC however the options of ways to actually be involved in non audit projects are very limited.
