To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme - I love the culture and working life at PwC. I really like developing myself and being in the professional environment. There are so many great opportunities and I'm very glad I made the choice to do this programme.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Many soft and technical skills have been developed; for example confidence, communication, stakeholder management, skills on softwares/platforms such as Salesforce, Alteryx, PowerBI, google workspace apps and much more. So much opportunity and support is provided to develop skills
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured to provide upskilling/development as well as a variety of experiences for the learners. From day 1 there is chance to get stuck in to real and impactful work. The quality of support/structure from Kaplan is not as good as that of PwC.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

PwC provide great amount of support. Both centrally as an employer, and on a personal basis (i.e the colleagues I am surrounded with are extremely supportive). Support is provided in any way you could think, from measures to help throughout the pandemic to learning/development support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Enough support is provided by Kaplan (training provider), however I believe they could be doing more. There is structure and routine to the qualification side, however the quality from Kaplan has sometimes not been what I would expect.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Honestly - not too much. I think I benefit more from the experience and my own development in terms of my day to day roles, as the content and skills covered by Kaplan is often less relevant for me. This may be due to the broad nature of consulting.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes - there's a plethora of additional initiatives, activities, teams and groups to join. I have mainly participated in company initiatives (for example social mobility, recruitment etc) but there is a strong people culture too and a group for almost anything a colleague may want.

Why?
Many reasons; the care shown to and by the employees at PwC, the great opportunities it provides, the status of the firm and the benefits this brings, the variety of work to get involved with - there is something for everyone here. I could go all day....
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
The number one tip I tend to give, is to do their research on the firm before applying. Being able to demonstrate knowledge and interest in PwC as a company and the work we do here, is a massive help in the application process.
