Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Working as an auditor at PwC, auditing clients, being part of a team, taking part in wellbeing activities
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Massively, I've thoroughly enjoyed being able to go into the office and experience the full level of support that a placement should have when its not done purely virtually.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Greatly improved my accounting knowledge and auditing skills. Also improved my socialising, communication and professional behaviour.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Very well structured. We receive a lot of support to ensure we're set up best to be able to excel in our placements and also do well in our exams. Potentially could have longer between placement and exams so we have enough time to prepare after a busy placement
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
A good amount, whilst on placement, PwC are very supporting, they ensure our wellbeing is good and that we are well supported. Whilst at university, we dont receive much support at all however.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
A lot from the uni, with tailored revision sessions and support to aid our revision. ICAEW don't provide much as we now dont even receive hard copies of the books which is a massive disadvantage
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Massively, it ensures we have good accounting and audit knowledge before taking on a role in PwC. I definitely used knowledge gained in my qualification in my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, lots of social activities and sporting events. It would be better if we still got invited to these whilst we're at university so we can keep socialising with people in our office. Its a shame to not hear from them for 9 months between placements.
