Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

The role of a school leaver is no different to a graduate joiner, the only difference being the pace of exams. Within the first few months you will be working in different teams on client engagements carrying out essential audit tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is tough and most definitely not as glamorous as people may first think. However, if you are prepared to work hard and you build relationships with the people you work with then you will enjoy your programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The skills you gain/develop during your experience are unlimited, you complete new tasks everyday while also receiving top class tutoring from a third party training provider.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured, additionally your career development is set out in front of you.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
There is so much support provided to you, with a career coach and buddy assigned when you start. The only downside is senior members of staff are very busy, however support is unlimited if you look for it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider have a great support system, if you need help on something you will get it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification goes hand in hand with your day to day role and enables you to carry out further tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Social activities are really good, there are also networks and sporting teams available.

PwC is a top employer, you are guaranteed a stable and well paid job, with great benefits. You will have to work very hard though, which some people may be afraid of.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Be honest with everyone you work with, prioritise exams in order to not fall behind. Be open to working hard, otherwise this job is probably not for you.
