Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role varies, day-to-day, I write the minutes for important meetings. I complete data analytics spotting key trends to hep us better serve our customer. I liaise with our internal stakeholders e.g. marketing on potential project work. I send out the Newsletters on a regular basis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy it, it can be hard managing the apprenticeship work and the job on the side. I always find myself putting in a lot of extra hours for the apprenticeship. I think overall, it's been good.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I've learned a lot about analysing data. I am still not 100% good at analysing data but I have created a Pivot table and although I struggled with it, this was something I had never done before. It has really pushed me outside my comfort zone.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think it could be better organised. I don't think the order of the reflective statements reflects the timing of what we learn. We were left without a coach for some time and they failed to notify us on a few things. I know they're doing their best.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my manager, he is always helping me with my assignments. Loads of people are always ready to pitch in and support. I particularly found my last assignment hard to tackle and I received lot's of support and coaching.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They're always on hand to answer any questions. I remember my first assignment, BPP advisor gave us his email and we were always sending our questions over to him and I requested 1-2-1 tutoring for my second assignment which they provided. I think they're very helpful
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think the qualification, helps with my learning on the role, particularly the reflective statements, as it influences you into researching things you don't necessarily know , or haven't heard of before. Without the apprenticeship, there is a lot that I wouldn't have learned so quickly.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there is always extra activities to get involved with. Last year I did the mobile hackathon and Challenge21 and I am on the Apprenticeship council, I have attended mystery meet-ups and lots of coffee sessions, I'm on the Talent programme and I am always networking.

They are always looking for ways to improve and make things better for everyone internally and externally. There is a lot of opportunity with working for them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
I think just be open for a challenge, join an apprenticeship programme. Try to think about skills you already possess and the skills you want to enhance. Be prepared, to meet new people and learn new things,
