Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in a governance team while studying my data analyst course. I help my team carry out governance functions and support them by completing BAU tasks and helping to review incoming submissions. I also maintain a library where important information is held and regularly review the content inside to ensure they are up to standard and up to date
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed my time a lot so far. The team I work within are very supportive I have enjoyed constantly learning new things. The apprenticeship programme is very well run and offer a lot of support in helping to complete assignments and offer great learning courses to build new skills.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, one skill that I have built over my time here is my coding skills. There is a department led 'coding club' that has a ton of learning materials and support on hand that has helped me grow my python knowledge, which is especially helpful for my Data Analyst course

The apprenticeship programme is very well run and offer a lot of support in helping to complete assignments and offer great learning courses to build new skills. The assignments are spaced out as to not take up too much time in your work week to help you have a manageable work/study balance

NatWest run many projects to help new apprentices adapt to the workplace, There is a department led 'coding club' that has a ton of learning materials and support on hand that has helped me grow my python knowledge, which is especially helpful for my Data Analyst course

My first assignments on my apprenticeship programme related to how to communicate effectively in a professional environment, this was especially useful to someone like me with no prior experience working in a professional workspace understand better what is expected of me and how to effectively respond to requests and emails.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
NatWest provide a lot off recourses when you join the organization so try not to stress to much about your prior knowledge going into the role and just showcase how you individually are a great fit for the company, do this by studying the CPC's and doing some background learning on the company.
