Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role involves speaking to customers over the phone each day and solving their business queries. I also answer emails, chase things up and plan activities etc. I am also in charge of my colleagues wellbeing as i was made well being champion within my team also. It is challenging and hard but also very rewarding.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
i really enjoy my apprenticeship. As well as working and earning i get to learn about the bank and also receive a qualification and certificate at the end of it. I like that it is quite organised and you get to attend live webinars which is alot of fun because they are really interesting.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I previously finished a retail apprenticeship which was similar but i feel as though this apprenticeship has allowed me to develop my customer service roles and also digital teamwork skills. I have never had to work from home before so i feel like it has taught me alot about communication especially when you are not face to face with people.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think the onboarding process could be a little bit clearer as i felt quite confused but apart from that it is excellent. We went on induction programmes which really helped and helped me get a feel for the banking industry and has let me connect with other apprentices. The coaches are well organised too.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from NatWest especially my team leader. The whole lead up to going through classroom training and being in academy training was very smooth and also with the lead up to being moved into my team. My manager and colleagues have vbeen supported and they only let you go out of training once you are positive you are confident enough.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have lots of contact points that i can refer to at all times including my coach and my team leader which is amazing. My colleagues are really helpful too and we have a referral line for complex queries. in regards to apprenticeship work i reach out to my coach.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It gives me the knowledge to be able to know more about the banking industry which is always a bonus and makes me a better employee as well as advisor. It is very interactive and is giving me the skill sets i need if i wanna move up the corporate ladder.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes there are many i have already been involved inna womans worth seminar. I get involved with apprenticeship meetings all of the time too where we connect with other apprentices which is an amazing experience. We have the chance to speak to higher colleagues too like team leaders and unit leaders so that we have inspo.
