Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role entailed many important duties on a day to day basis which allowed me to gain a full experience on what its like to work so closely with senior analyst in a large organisation. The use of software such as FMR and cognos helped to streamline reporting each month.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

There was alot of responsibility given to me during my internship however it was never out of my reach as i would always be working with more experienced employees

Whilst developing my own skills, working at travelport allowed me to gain many new ones. From the moment i started i was learning new ways to use excel as well as new softwares where needed.

Support was given from all employees i met as they all had good advice and helped out where i needed. Working with my mentor was one of the main uses for guidance.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Enjoyed it more than I thought as it was such as large company I thought it would have been head down to work all the time but the team always encouraged us to have fun.
