Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Am able to develop a range of new and existing skills whilst completing varying tasks regarding the design and certification of the AW101 rig. Entrusted with responsibility to undertake tasks in a lone capacity, but also gain the benefits of working as part of a team.

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
Organisation of placements is left to the apprentices to arrange themselves, allowing them to go to areas most beneficial for their development.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
Each trainee is assigned a mentor to provide support and guidance.
Members of staff are approachable at all times to support wherever neccessary.
Training department provide specialist support to resolve any issues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
Plymouth University have been exemplary in the way that they have undertaken the degree thus far, with support at every opportunity to ensure we are well-equipped to do well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
In particular, the development of circuit and control theory has enabled me to understand the way in which electrical circuits function.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
The AWASA committee put on a range of activities for trainees to get involved, including; football, curry nights, quiz nights, yearly dinners etc. There is something there for everybody to enjoy.
