Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Hands on training supervised by a mentor. We help with whatever job they might be doing or what vehicle there working on so we get varied knowledge on all the platforms at work. we also attend college one day a week for our theory.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I find it great to be able to get hands on training as well as expanding the theory side of it, its a good balance as well as getting paid doing it all. it was also good to meet new people and make new friends.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt loads of hand skills and using hand tools. I have also expanded my knowledge on motor vehicles. we was also put forward for our aircon course and many other thing involved in the industry.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme overall was good and got you from A-B but over the three years there was some places that could be improved like in general the overall structure as in some places it fell apart and didn't seem organised at some parts.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
we had all the support we needed. if we ever had a problem we always had someone we could talk to or if we needed something there was always someone to help out.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
we had all the support we needed they would always chase something up if we had problems and they were the ones that organised all our training and tests.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It helps by expanding my knowledge on the industry and that helps me to do a better job at work and even out side of work. without it I wouldn't be were I'm at today.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
We had plenty for events like around Christmas we would all get together for a meal paid for by work.
