Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a shift manager, i run the shifts and am in charge of the store, making sure it runs smooth. I also have to count the safe, write emails, do product checks etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed it as it showed me to an extent a different side of McDonald’s I didn’t know about and I learnt a lot from it.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, since doing my apprenticeship I went from crew member to shift manager so I have learnt many many new skills.

It was very organised
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My work wasn’t as supportive as they could’ve been but this was amended at the end of my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The person I had to teach/ help me with my apprenticeship was extremely helpful and always replied to anything I asked him. The support was amazing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has helped me understand the different side of the job, and understanding the managerial side a lot better with this knowledge
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have football events, love to listen surveys and meetings, crew trainer and manager meetings, litter picking events.
