On a day-to-day basis, this means working with clients to ensure their financial statements represent a true and fair picture of their finances, and are prepared in line with any applicable regulations
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Highly enjoyable experience, meet a diverse range of innovative problem solvers. No visible hierarchy except for the higher partner level. A lot is scarified sometimes, especially when you're still training (worklife can interfere with personal life). Engagements are well planned to minimise this and wellbeing is always a key priority

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Structured in a way that ensures practical placement experience is blended into the university academic year. The knowledge learnt at uni is applied in practice and helps bridge the gap between the 'classroom' and 'real life'. Once you come back from placement, the pressure ramps up. Cover a lot in a short period of time
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Continuous ongoing support from all seniors and team members. Always willing to help facilitate your progress and go through work with you. A lot of experienced auditors to draw knowledge and experiences from. Feedback is given throughout the engagement to identify key development points
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Flexibility provided for training and working towards exams. Many individuals get leave so they're not working at the same time. Other support groups are available as well. Plenty of experiences former FSs as well who understand the difficulties in switching from Uni to work- plenty people to take to
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Preliminary training is given prior to formal work. Focus is mainly on professional responsibilities, ethics, types of testing and other procedures which typically an associate would be involved with. A lot of that does map to the actual work performed which is great!
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Culturally brilliant in my experience. The seniors and other associated I've worked with challenge you to perform with high quality and work collaboratively to ensure no one is lost. The expectations of you will evolve, but there's plenty opportunities to develop professionally and personally
