Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role as vacation student allowed me to assist the planning team on various tasks, from funding applications, to editing planning statements. On a day to day basis, I would attend meetings with different colleagues and stakeholders, read and answer emails, complete important research, and make notes/create documents outlining my research findings.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I felt my team really trusted me to manage my own time and complete tasks on time. I was given responsibilities such as contacting global colleagues about project input, and creating presentations.
