learned alot of new skills on site and office based. how to use all the various engineering instruments, how to calculate different levels, how particular groundworks are carried out, computer stuff such as diaries, folders and transferring data from instruments to lap top.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
it all depends on what needs doing on site some times plans change and deadlines altered to fit due to weather, workforce ect, all in all it is well organized.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have my sections engineer on site by my side whenever i have a question or need assistance with anything on site or in the office, he has shown me everything i've learned so far and is a great help in developing my skills.

3/5
while in collage my training provider is present in my emails and keeps in touch and answers any questions i may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
the qualification and the training i receive helps massively to allow me to preform better in my role as without it i wouldn't have as much knowledge and understanding of what i should be doing on site.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
there are social events held every now and then which are always fun and good for networking, no sports teams as of yet but that would be a great idea for the future inrail south! and some engineering forums have been held for professional networking events.
