Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Responsible for stripping mechanical components and refitting them. Spend first year in college learning the basics.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I am enjoying my apprenticeship beyond words. I look forward to getting up early and getting in the workshop everyday.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned loads of new skills, way to many to mention, and there making me a component engineer.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think the apprenticeship is structured very well. Spend the first year in college doing SVQ2 and NC then second/third year doing SVQ3 and HNC, while picking up experience on site.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Individual support is there if needed, and other than that there is apprentice reviews every couple months and a monthly meeting. Although there is room to make this better.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Plenty of support is provided from Fife College.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Fife College is teaching us the basic in mechanical maintenance engineering. This provides us with enough skills to get on site and develop our skills through experience.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Not that I am aware off but there could we be.
