Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Time management skills are required to manage deadlines and work load across your different projects. IT skills are developing with each new software I use such as BIM.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well structured in terms of internal apprenticeship training/ uni training. There are many support systems to track development and ensure you are continually progressing.

4/5
I have always felt supported by my line manager and other seniors that I work with. If I felt that I had an issue with anything there would always be someone I would feel comfortable raising this with.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Uni lecturers are always available and make it known that they are contactable should you need any help. There are also Link Tutors who are a representative from the university that have regular reviews with to talk about progression and any concerns.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The information at university is sometimes dated and can feel irrelevant however it gives a good basis of understanding and context to the wider role of the QS and how it has developed over time.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are plenty of networking groups within Mace for all types of backgrounds and interests to get involved with should you wish.
