Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I’m in fabrication so I receive the job instructions/ work drawing and assemble them, using sheets, plate and various different materials.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it quite a lot but it’s Very difficult to keep up with the work (questions we have to complete) but the workshop work I find very easy.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve learnt how to use various different machinery and how to correct and safely use it to produce high quality work.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

In my opinion quite organised but mishaps can arise with the forms and information the programme has.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

If we have any problems they’ll help us out. I haven’t had many yet but they were very informal.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They are also extremely helpful when working as they provide us with information on everything that we require.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me as it teaches me the information that is needed within the workshop (drill bit sizes etc)
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have a end of year camping trip but we socialise a lot within the workplace which has created bonds with our workforce.

It’s a great career after the apprenticeship ends and it’ll teach me skills that will impact my life massively in the future.
