Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

One a day to day basis I come into the college from 7:30-15:45, within this time I complete practical work and then do an assessment on what I’ve been doing. Once a week I do a theory day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program lots, I find electrics very interesting and I also am learning whilst getting payed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes. Before joining I had no prior knowledge of electrics or using tools however now I feel more confident.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Overall the program is very well structured, especially considering how many apprentices there are each year.
I’m always aware of what I need to do each day.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from my employer, if I need anything there’s always people to contact. Within the college there is also lots of people to get help from.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider helps a lot with my qualifications. They are very experienced and know what I need to do.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that it helps a lot as I gain hand skills and knowledge for my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am personally not aware of any however there may be once I enter the dockyard.
